GwenMedia Returns to Ivy Manor

LOS ANGELES –High-end fetish production house GwenMedia has wrapped the latest installment in its popular Ivy Manor series with the upcoming release of Ivy Manor 5: Rubber Dreams. The title will be available in the coming months at the studio’s website, www.GwenMedia.com.

Written and directed by John Fitzgerald, Rubber Dreams stars GwenMedia owner and dominatrix Isabella Sinclaire, Jewel Marceau, January Seraph and Natalie Addams.

“We had done an original shoot for Ivy Manor 5 after John had left GwenMedia and I had never really been comfortable with it…the lighting was too harsh, and it wasn’t really in John’s style,” Sinclaire told AVN. “John has since come back and agreed to shoot the series, and so we decided to completely re-shoot it. I spent so much time acquiring the tapes, I thought they deserved this kind of treatment.

“The shoot almost didn’t happen because — as we introduce a new character in each title — the one we had in mind for this one, dropped out at the last minute. I was either going to have to pay everyone a kill fee, or scramble around, trying to find someone to replace her. Luckily, I’ve been able to meet a lot of girls while doing shoots for the website. I called up January [Seraph] to see if she was available. She had more of an adult film background and I guess, as she matured as a woman, she found bondage to be more interesting to her. But since she’s still sort of a newcomer, she really had her limits pushed with this one. I think she worked out great.”

Sinclaire regained control of GwenMedia in Sept. of 2006 when she was awarded full ownership of the studio, after a two-and-a-half year lawsuit. She has since re-launched the membership website. The raven-haired beauty is also the head dominatrix at her Los Angeles dungeon, Ivy Manor, the location that much of the GwenMedia footage is shot.

Leading up to its release, GwenMedia will re-release the first four installments in the Ivy Manor series with additional, never-before-seen footage and behind the scene clips and photos, as well as release a completely remastered and reedited version of Ivy Manor 2.

“They had completely liquidated a lot of the titles and Ivy Manor 2 was the only one I didn’t get copies of,” explained Sinclaire. “I was getting calls every week, asking when I was going to release it, so I decided to re-edit and remaster it myself.”

The company also has a few new series slated for release in the coming months. The Betrayal, which features Sinclaire, Berlin and Petra, follows Mistress Monica as she drops off her misbehaving slave to Sinclaire for some retraining. Also in post-production is The Portal, written and directed by Sinclaire. Mistress Sable stars in the first film in this series, with fetish couple Kade and Skye.

“It’s just been a learning process for us, releasing things and figuring out what people want to see,” said Sinclaire.

On Sept. 26, the company will screen scenes from The Portal at Facade (6356 Hollywood Blvd.) in Hollywood. The event is open to the public.
