Girlfriends Films Recruits Stars 'To Protect and to Serve'

RESEDA, Calif.—Girlfriends Films today introduces its newest series, To Protect and to Serve, chronicling the adventures of the lesbian police force patrolling the fictional town of Thornhill where many of Girlfriends' movies take place.

Directed by Melissa Monet, the series debut stars Julia Ann, Dyanna Lauren, Andy San Dimas, Celeste Star, Lux Kassidy, Zoe Voss, Lily LaBeau and Hayden Night.

"Ever since Girlfriends Films created the lesbian community of Thornhill, I’ve found myself fascinated and aroused by the idea of what a precinct of lesbian cops would be like," Monet said. "To Protect and to Serve is less about the crimes, and more about how they affect the personal lives of the police force … especially their sex lives. Cops deal with the theme of power on a daily basis, and I wanted to really show how that also appears in the way they interact in the bedroom. Power games are always present when two people are naked and fighting to be on top.”

To Protect and to Serve: Volume 1 opens in the midst of a sexy undercover operation, as detective Lux Kassidy frisks jewel thief Zoe Voss, discovering the most valued treasure is between Zoe’s legs. Meanwhile, Julia Ann, a detective with an impeccable record, receives a promotion and a new partner … Lux. A heated domestic squabble between ex-lovers Celeste Star and Lily LaBeau turns into a passionate make-up session. Their own screams of pleasure mask the possible murder next door, but when Celeste sees a body dragged to a car, she calls the police. Julia Ann, Lux and new officer Hayden Night must quickly learn to work as a team if they are going to solve the scandalous case of lesbian sex and murder.

"We could tell To Protect and to Serve was a passion project Melissa was extremely invested in, so we made sure to provide her with exactly the cast and budget she requested," Girlfriends vice president Moose said. "The script is rich with intriguing characters, and the first volume sets the stage for a plot driven series, which will continue to intrigue and arouse."

Even before the release of To Protect and to Serve: Volume 1, consumer praise is mounting. GirlfriendsFilms.com forum member LezFemmez writes, "Just watched the trailer and I gotta say, this looks absolutely awesome. The story, the acting, the sex scenes ... I'm really really looking forward to this one." Jen Doe adds, "This one looks like it will have it all … Can’t wait to see this one!" "Thanks, Melissa, for combining two of my favorite things: Girlfriends Films and women in uniform," writes Soupchef.

Shot in high definition with Sony XDCAM cameras, To Protect and to Serve: Volume 1 is a visual treat. The DVD is presented in 16:9 widescreen format and includes XXX and glamour photo galleries, plus trailers to hit Girlfriends Films movies.
