G-Flow Productions, an independent record label and adult-video production company, is throwing a bash to celebrate their virgin video release: XXX Files Volume 1. The party, to be held Saturday July 31, 2004 at 10 pm at the GIG, 7302 Melrose Ave, is open to the entire porn industry.
“It’s definitely an industry party. Everyone’s invited down,” G-Flow President Damion Smith told AVN.com. “Lexington Steel will be there, Mr. Marcus has confirmed, so has Obsession. It’s going to be wild. The party is partly sponsored by A Touch of Romance and Phat Toys, so we’re going to have a bunch of giveaways, and the night’s going to end with performances from West Coast underground hip-hop artists Caliph, Ms. Fit and Jones and JB. It’s definitely going to be wild.”
XXX Files Volume 1 will be released with an accompanying soundtrack featuring up-and-coming hip-hop artists. According to Smith, this is the first such pairing that has been attempted.
Smith started prodcuing porn after renting his house out to some productions. "I saw the low quality in a lot of urban product and decided to get into it to move things up to a different level." Smith said.
