Fooled Ya! Industry Participates in Holiday High Jinks

LOS ANGELES—April Fools Day can be a polarizing holiday—people either love it or hate it. But several adult industry companies showed their love, or at least their appreciation, for the tricked-out holiday on Friday.

Novelty manufacturer Interactive Life Forms, makers of the Fleshlight male masturbator, tweeted about the “newest” Fleshlight Girl, Lucille. Those who aren’t fans of The Walking Dead might not get the reference in the picture: The zombie flesh is easy enough to understand, but the wooden case wrapped in barbed wire is a sly reference to the “girlfriend” of reviled comic book villain Negan.

Pornhub.com got in on the gags Friday as well with a site redesign … to Cornhub.com. For the day, the site’s landing page featured everything from “Hot Corn Videos” to “Live Corn.” A quick click anywhere on the page took visitors to the real site, though.

Brazzers.com teamed up with Nikki Benz for a video that features the performer calling her colleagues to offer them a part in the world’s first vegan porno. Pranked performers were Abigail Mac, Nicole Aniston, Phoenix Marie, Toni Ribas and Ramon Nomar.

Even overseas, the prank press releases were sent out. British pleasure product manufacturer Rocks-Off Ltd. announced its RO-160mm vibrator was spotted by SPIRIT, a Mars Exploration Rover, during a routine surface moisture test with its sister rover CURIOSITY.

“The U.N. has hailed the RO-160mm bullet vibrator as the gift that could lead to first contact. UN Space Ambassador, Sue Walsh, tweeted: ‘If there’s one thing that our species’ can agree on, it’s the joy of discovering better sex and getting our Rocks-Off.’” the release said.

Back on these shores, director Will Ryder issued a press release claiming he'd received a letter from Charles Manson complimenting him on his movie Manson Family XXX, and talent agent Mark Spiegler added male performer Keiran Lee to his roster as the first-ever "Spiegler Boy."

And, of course, there was the “announcement” of the Xhamster/Playboy deal, as seen on AVN.com.
