Even though the official launch of the Vivid Condoms line is still two weeks away the prophylactics from Vivid Entertainment Group and marketing partner Paradise Marketing are flying out of the warehouse.
The entire first production run sold out within four hours after clearance was received from the Food and Drug Administration. Paradise Marketing immediately increased production runs for three-packs of the condoms and predicted that sales may outstrip inventory as more retailers place orders.
"Vivid Condoms are doing incredibly well," said Dennis Paradise, president and founder of Paradise Marketing, the leading distributor of prophylactics in North America and Vivid's partner in the condom venture. "We teamed up with Vivid because it is clearly No. 1 in its industry, and we obviously made a good choice. Vivid stands for sensuality and a healthy view of the sexual aspects of people's lives and everything they have done, they have done with class."
Now that the FDA has approved the condoms, Paradise intends to launch a marketing effort that is intended to reach out to the over 10,000 convenience stores, drug stores, and other retail and mass-market outlets such as the Internet.
"The Vivid Condom line has been accepted by all segments of the condom market. We knew we had a natural market with the fans of Vivid videos and we have a great 'wear them while you watch' slogan to support that marketing campaign," said Paradise. "We are also are finding acceptance is much broader and will grow as we support the product with magazine ads, retail in-store promotions, the Internet and a co-marketing campaign using Vivid videos and DVDs."
The Vivid Condoms line includes studded, extra thin, large size and lubricated versions. Paradise also plans to introduce a lubricant called Vivid Glide later in the year, along with other pleasure enhancing products. Details are available at Vividcondoms.com.
The condom packages featuring sexy photos of Vivid Girls will be launched officially May 1st when Vivid Girls Sunrise Adams, Briana Banks, Savanna Samson and Taya, host a party at The Highlands, an upscale nightclub and bistro in Hollywood.
The party starts at 10 p.m. and is open to the public. The Highlands is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd at Highland.
