LAS VEGAS - Business is all about relationships, and Erotique Entertainment owner Eric John places top priority on the relationships he forges with his models.
“My company philosophy is to promote the people I work with and develop long-term relationships,” John said. One relationship he is currently cultivating is with Lux Kassidy, October 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Month and the headline talent at the Erotique booth this year.
“My goal with her is to develop more projects together," said John. "You can create stuff at a different level when the photographer and the model are on the same page.”
Among Lux's many projects is a new TV series. “The show is called ‘The New View’ or ‘The Naked View’ — it’s not
determined yet," she told AVN. "It’s run by Vavoom Media, but it will
be aired on Playboy TV, and production for that starts in February and
it will filmed here in Vegas.”
“It’s kind of like the morning
‘View,’ with the four women who sit around and talk about current
events and whatnot," Lux continued. "So it’s us four girls, but we’re
naked, we’re talking about current events, we talk about sports, we
talk about sex in front of a live audience, and they can ask questions.”
This is Erotique’s fourth year at AEE and John is particularly excited about the response he has gotten. “This year I’m getting the right attention from the right people," he said. "The right type of customer is coming to me, those that are interested in my type of material. I aspire to be like [Michael] Ninn and [Andrew] Blake. I want to have an image that’s separate from the bulk of what’s out there. And we’ve been growing carefully to cultivate that image.”
When John began Erotique, he focused on high end still photography, but he’s moving the company toward video now. “We have a whole bunch of really great stuff coming out in 2008,” he said.
Tory Marlena is another one of the girls John is excited about.
“Tory’s is a ‘civilian becomes a porn star’ story,” said John. “She was first exposed to me from an ad I ran on AVN.com. She came to my site, liked my material, called me and asked to be my guest at last year’s award show.”
She eventually decided to take the porno plunge and last December shot her first boy/girl, a photo set with John. Following that, John performed with her and Ryder Skye in a girl/girl/boy video scene – her first hardcore video shoot.
"This year, in addition to Marlena’s scene,” John continued, “I’ll be releasing a Gina Lynn POV scene and a boy/girl scene with Harmony Rose.”
