CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Former Vivid Entertainment sales manager David Peskin has moved to a new position as head of domestic DVD sales for Todd Blatt's company Antiqua Pictures.
Peskin will handle DVD sales for all of the studios under the Antigua umbrella, including the flagship Antigua Pictures label, 21Sextury, and the urban line Fatt Entertainment. Blatt will continue to oversee Antigua's main business of international licensing, while Peskin handles Antigua's catalog of more than 700 titles for VOD.
"It was a great experience working for Steven Hirsch at Vivid for the past six years," Peskin told AVN. "I'm thankful for everything I learned from Steven, and to Howard Levine for taking the shot on me and teaching me how to sell the best adult line in the world. Now, it's time for new challenges and a return to working for family."
Peskin and Blatt are family in more than one sense of the word. The two were friends in high school, and Peskin later started his adult industry career working for Blatt at Snatch Productions and Samurai Video from 1996-2002. Todd's brother, Scott Blatt of Alante International, is married to Peskin's sister.
"It's good to have David back home," Blatt told AVN. "We'll be doing two to four new DVD releases each week between all of the different studios, and we have some new lines we'll be adding this fall."
Among the new DVD lines coming up from Antigua are the BDSM brand Kink Krew and the niche label Bizarre Bros. Both lines are produced by the manufacturers of 21Sextury and scheduled to debut in November.
Peskin is looking forward to repping Antigua's catalog, which includes such notable releases as Ice T's Pimpin' 101, Briana Loves Double Anal, and the two-volume set Jenna Jameson: Before She Was a Star.
In addition to U.S. video distribution, Antigua remains active as a foreign sales agent. The company brokers overseas licensing deals for Club Jenna, Vivid, Teravision, and other major adult studios.
"We're also open to new distribution deals," Peskin said. "I'm looking forward to the future here, and I'm grateful to Todd for bringing me back."
Peskin added that he will continue in his role as VOD sales manager for Teravision. The busy sales rep is also handling 90 titles from fetish performer Jewell Marceau.
