Dave Navarro Draws Fans To Teravision Booth

LAS VEGAS – The sea of people packed deep around the front of the Teravision booth in the Sands Expo Center this afternoon wasn’t for Tera Patrick or Sasha Grey or any of the other girls signing for the company.

It was for ex-Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, whose directorial debut Broken is up for multiple AVN Awards at tomorrow night’s ceremony.

“I couldn’t be more honored and excited about it,” Navarro told AVN. “This is one of those cases where the old phrase ‘it’s an honor to be nominated’ really holds true. I’m looking forward to a good time tonight — we have the Broken release party at Pure — tomorrow’s the big show, and more so than anything, I’m really excited about seeing what comes up for Sasha in 2008, ’cause I think this will be her year.”

As he was signing autographs, a camera crew from “CBS Sunday Morning” stood over him taking footage … but Navarro barely even noticed.

“You come to these things and there’s so many lenses pointed at you that the best thing you can do is tune it all out,” he said. “I’ve done a lot of covering for my internet television show of different conventions, but this is the first time I’ve been here participating, so it’s a twist for me, and I’m having a great time.”

Broken
is nominated for Best Director – Non-Feature, Best Videography and Best High End All-Sex Release, among other awards. Winners will be announced at Saturday’s AVN Awards ceremony in the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
