Dane Seeks Volunteers for Labor Day Telethon

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Dane Productions is calling for volunteers to help out at this year's Jerry Lewis Lady Day Telethon, scheduled for Sept. 2.

"This is my forty-ninth year working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association," Dane vice-president Bob told AVN. "And now, doing so under the banner of The Free Speech Coalition for the second year, I am proud to be able to continue."

At last year's telethon, Bob joined 16 volunteers representing the Free Speech Coalition, raising over $10,000.

"Once again, I am asking for the adult community to reach out and help me Labor Day weekend, to help in the fight against the remaining forty neuro-muscular diseases. I need volunteers to work for four hours, September 2. Those people who did this last year realize the importance of the few hours you donated. This disease knows no boundaries, it can strike at any timeā€¦age is no barrier to this killer."

Bob went on to explain that dinner will be provided by the Olive Garden, and volunteers will be on camera for the four hours that they work. The local feed for the telethon is at KCET studios on Sunset Blvd. Bob will also arrange for transportation, if needed.

"People can start now by telling me that they will be working, and if they wish to donate in their name later, that would be marvelous. Just showing up at this is really payment enough, donations are icing on the cake."

Volunteers can reach Bob at 818-349-6600 or 888-390-0767, or e-mail him at [email protected].
