Adult DVD Empire has announced the latest enhancement to its pay-per-minute Video-on-Demand program, the MyFlix technology.
The new technology was designed to be used in conjunction with the MyClips technology the Empire launched in October 2005, both of which have been registered with the U.S. Patent Office as of Jan. 18, 2006.
The MyClips technology enables users to select and save customized video clips and store them in an online account for easy access to future viewings. This eliminates the need for customers to search for their favorite content upon subsequent viewings. Each individual clip the customer saves can be easily accessed via his or her Empire account.
Developed to enhance the pay-per-minute customer’s experience, the MyFlix technology enables customers to create custom streaming videos that contain their favorite video content.
“Our customer experience is second to none,” says Adult DVD Empire director of adult operations Mike Barry. “We want customers to enjoy our entire library of content. However, when they find something they like, they shouldn’t have to waste their paid-for minutes finding that specific content all over again. With over 14,000 streaming titles available, this can be quite a time saver.”
These latest enhancements to Adult DVD Empire’s pay-per-minute VoD model represent the culmination of more than six months of development and beta testing. Additional features set to launch soon include the use of tagging, the ability to share MyClips and MyFlix content publicly, the use of RSS feeds, and other exciting features that are designed to promote a sense of community among users.
