Clousot Joins Wicked Pictures

Wicked Pictures has announced the signing of AVN award-nominated videographer and director Francois Clousot to an exclusive contract with the company.

The union of Wicked and Clousot is a natural one, as the cinematographer has brought his skill to many of the company's productions, including two that earned him 2006 AVN nominations - Best Cinematography for Brad Armstrong's shot-on-film period piece Eternity, and Best Videography for Jonathan Morgan's horror film satire Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre.

Beginning February 1, Clousot will be working behind the camera exclusively for Wicked Pictures, with an option to begin writing and directing for the company later in the year.

Clousot said in a statement, "It makes perfect sense to me to make Wicked my home base, since we've been like a family since day one. I'm very happy to finally be with a company that supports me and shares my vision. I look forward to doing my own features for them as a writer and director, and balancing these with the shooting I do for the other directors."

Wicked president Steve Orenstein added, "Francois has a great eye and has become our directors' first choice for videographer. On the recommendation of Brad Armstrong, I am very happy to add Francois to our family, and I look forward to what he has in store for us with the movies he will direct."
