Chyna's Manager Says Death Caused by Accidental OD

LOS ANGELES—According to her manager, Anthony Anzaldo, wrestler-turned-porn star Chyna's death last week was caused by an accidental overdose of Ambien and Valium, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday afternoon.

Anzaldo, who found Chyna's body in her Redondo Beach apartment last Wednesday, told the Times that she'd been legally prescribed the two drugs and was taking them for three weeks prior to her death, but was not using them properly.

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office, meanwhile, has not made an official ruling on the celeb's cause of death, and said it could take months for toxicology results to corroborate Anzaldo's assessment that she died of an overdose.

Anzaldo has received some criticism for reportedly postponing the help that may have saved Chyna's life with negotiations to get her cast on the reality TV show Intervention.

Chyna's brain is set to be donated for scientific research by Dr. Bennet Omalu, the Nigerian forensic pathologist played by Will Smith in the film Concussion. Omalu will examine her brain for any insight it may provide about chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, the disease that has afflicted many athletes who've sustained repeated blunt force trauma to their heads.
