Burning Angel Raises Its 'Evil Head' Tonight at Tru in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES—Long before this week's release of the Evil Dead remake, there was another homage to the 1981 cult classic. Last year—just in time for Day of the Dead, to be precise—alt-porn princess Joanna Angel conjured up Evil Head, her own lust-fueled parody, perhaps the most ambitious movie ever from BurningAngel Entertainment.

Tonight, April 5, Joanna Angel and Evil Head co-stars Dana DeArmond and Tommy Pistol will celebrate this big-budget spoof's ongoing success with a promotional event at Tru nightclub in Hollywood.

At tonight's soiree, taking place at the historic nightspot at 1600 Argyle, L.A. club-hoppers will enter a macabre world where horror porn meets Hollywood. The three co-stars and their friends will enjoy the evening in a VIP retreat while revelers will get chances to receive promotional copies of the Evil Head DVD. Limited quantities of BurningAngel magazines, T-shirts, hats and other collectibles will be given away.

Angel is eager to expose the project to the Hollywood mainstream again. “Evil Head is by far the most expensive movie we have ever made,” she candidly reveals. “I love how it turned out and I’m excited for people to see it!”

This event is open to the public and begins at 11 p.m. Members of the press are encouraged to RSVP with Daniel M. at 818-266-7910 prior to 10 p.m. tonight.
