Burning Angel Heats Up with DVD Release

It’s the stuff of a Lifetime channel movie: nice Jewish girl from New Jersey attends prestigious Rutgers University, majors in English, graduates, and then…starts stripping in a Times Square titty bar, begins a porn web site, and makes a full blown sex flick. But, unlike so many made-for-cable tearjerkers, this one has a happy ending. Or at least a happy continuation.

The girl in question is 24-year-old Joanna Angel, and the Brooklyn-based site she runs with Mitch Fontaine is BurningAngel.com, your home for sizzling photos of young, pierced, tattooed honeys, as well as band interviews, music, fashion and movie reviews.

“I feel like this is a part if me that’s always been there and just wasn’t showing,” states Angel, who shows all of her parts in the new BA hardcore DVD release, Burning Angel.com The Movie. “Because I kind of created this thing, I’ve never done anything that’s made me uncomfortable. Burning Angel is a reflection of me. And I still am a good, smart little Jewish girl running a porn Website.

The site has drawn comparisons to Suicide Girls.

“We started around the same time [roughly three years ago], but I didn’t know of it until after our web site it went up,” admits Angel. “They’re definitely competitive with us. I didn’t really know that, until we started getting applications from girls that were modeling for Suicide Girls. I honestly didn’t care, but it caused all this controversy. I started doing research into it, and I found that apparently they really don’t like us. Really, the only similarity is the girls on both sites have tattoos.”

Check out the DVD for a strong taste of exactly what Angel and company are all about. As you gawk at the New York-flavored boffing (no blond, faked-boobed Porn Valley starlets here), and dig various men of rock speak into Angels’ mic, bear in mind that what you’re watching is not just a labor of fucking, but one of love.

“I was trying to make a really cool, sex and rock and roll type of thing,” Angel asserts. “It took us about a year to make. We shot so many scenes we couldn’t use because we didn’t know what we were doing, we had guys we cast who couldn’t perform, we had editing problems, we had things break on us, and we had no budget, really, I think it was like $4,000.”

Her goals with the release?

“I’m hoping with this DVD I can stop dancing,” explains the driven lass with the inked up ass. “Not because I don’t like dancing, but it’s hard to do that and run a company at the same time.”
