Brittany Andrews Sizzles Up New York Film Festival

NEW YORK CITY—AVN Hall of Fame Superstarlet Brittany Andrews will kick off the New York International Independent Film Festival Thursday night as she collects several awards for the two mainstream films she produced, Trick of the Witch and Crumble.

This year Miss Andrews will be showcasing at the film festival five new projects that she has produced.

"It is such a huge honor for me to have all of my mainstream work recognized and validated by the world of filmmaking," Andrews said. "It's a tough biz, especially for a female producer that is still involved in the adult industry. To collect these awards for myself and my team from such a prestigious film festival is very satisfying!"

Friday night at 10 p.m. the fest will screen Gabrielle Lindau's These Showers Can Talk, a lesbian-themed film in which Andrews stars, followed by the premiere of My Real Porn Life, a fun, sexy, fast-paced reality show which follows Andrews in her daily adventures. Also directed by Lindau, the show documents Andrews' journeys from New York to L.A., living a bicoastal life and revealing to viewers that underneath the glam and glitter is a modern-day superwoman.

Saturday night at 10 p.m. the fest will screen the Andrews-produced Blindfold, a 9/11-themed dramatic film about the bond between a father and daughter affected by the 9/11 tragedy. Also on the schedule are promo teasers for Andrews' other reality TV show, which she both produced and directed; True Cougar Life, a fun Manhattan-based series about the dating habits of five chic cougars in the city; and Stage Brother, which documents Oxygen's Jennifer Buonagurio (from Season 6 of The Bad Girls Club) as she explores her dreams of fame in Hollywood. We watch as her brother tries to manage her career and document her every move for the film. We see a Catholic New Jersey household torn apart as Jennifer makes deviant choices to get her fame no matter what the cost.

The New York International Independent Film Festival is open to the public and tickets for both red carpet events are on sale now. After-parties will take place both nights following the screenings. Ticket holders can use their ticket stubs to get into the private after-parties.

Miss Andrews encourages all of her New York-based fans to attend the event so she can meet them in person and take photos with them before and after the screenings. Friday and Saturday night film screenings will both take place at the Quad Cinema, located at 34 W. 14th Street in New York City. Andrews is also asking fans to support New York filmmaking by purchasing tickets for both events.
