Director/performer Bridgette Kerkove has re-upped with Metro, signing an exclusive two-year, 64-title contract with the studio, it was announced today.
The studio said Kerkove’s contract “is one of the most lucrative Metro has ever given a female director,” though the financial terms were not disclosed. As part of the deal, Kerkove will be the premiere director for a new Metro High Definition imprint scheduled to debut in September.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring adult entertainment to new depths,” Kerkove said in a prepared statement. “I look forward to expanding into uncharted, erotic realms.”
“I have been directing and acting for Metro for the last two years,” the busty blonde beauty added, “and it was time to take our relationship to the next level.”
Clearly excited, Kerkove told AVN.com that the deal “is great. I love it. I’m working a little bit harder than I had been the last two years, but I love the creative process.”
She said the contract calls for her to direct 64 titles, roughly three a month, over the life of the deal. Though known as a gonzo director, she said one-third of the titles she’ll be helming will be features.
Kerkove said the contract is strictly for directing and producing. The deal does not call for her to perform in any set number of scenes. If she does perform in a scene, or even merely hosts a title, she will receive additional money. And she can only perform for Metro.
Gustavo Chavarria, Metro’s production manager, said, “Bridgette is one of the best performers in the business and has a gigantic following. She is a world renowned consummate professional. We are proud to be part of the next chapter in her career.”
Kerkove entered the industry in 1998, taking home Best New Starlet honors at the 2000 AVN Awards Show, performing in hundreds of titles and establishing a reputation as one of adult’s top anal queens.
She began directing in 2001 and to date has helmed some 20 titles, primarily for Metro’s hard-edge imprint Fusxion, including the Bottomless, Dirty, If It Ain’t Black Take It Back, Juicy and Shove It Up My… lines.
Kerkove’s next Metro release will be Babes Illustrated 15, set to street in early summer.
In addition to her Fusxion projects, Kerkove of late has been directing for Corey Jordan’s new company, No Boundaries Entertainment. But under terms of her exclusive deal with Metro, she will no longer do so.
