LAS VEGAS - Adam & Eve contract girl Bree Olson was named Best New Starlet at the 2008 AVN Awards show held Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events center. It was an emotional victory for the 21-year-old performer.
“I can’t stop crying. I’m just so thankful,” Olson told AVN. "I was so scared. Everybody kept telling me that it’s all politics, but now I know that it’s not because I worked so hard…I took a lot of cocks in the ass for this!”
Olson took a break from her sophomore year in college to give the adult industry a shot in November 2006. The Fort Wayne, Indiana native's blonde sweetheart looks and shamelessly nasty performances soon catapulted her to the top of the triple-X talent pool. Along with maintaining a professional attitude, Olson advises new girls in the business not to be influenced by everyone they meet and to find a genuine support circle.
“Find one person that you really trust and take their advice,” she said. “Don’t listen to everyone tell you all this different bullshit in your ear. I had Chris at Fox Modeling helping me out. I followed his advice and pushed everyone else out of my head. Together we worked our way towards getting my contract. Having a good attitude, being professional, and team work all helped me get here.”
While Olson plans to return to school this year (she’s a biology major), she has no intentions of abandoning adult. “My first scene was just a solo and I just remember that camera turning on and all of a sudden—I was just Bree,” recalled Olson. “I wasn’t my regular self anymore. I could feel free and not worry about what other people thought.”
“I’m so happy with Adam & Eve and my contract right now,” added Olson, teary-eyed. “And this was a great start to a new year for all of us. Just don’t tell anyone that I cried.”
