Brazzers’ Get Rubber! Campaign Unveils Second PSA

MONTREAL—The Manwin group of companies continues to spread its sex-positive message with the rollout of a second public service announcement as part of its safe sex Get Rubber! campaign.

The latest PSA is part of the companies’ continuing campaign to bring awareness to sexually transmitted infections, AIDS and safe sex practices. The PSAs appear on Brazzers DVD pre-rolls, on GetRubber.com and various social media sites.

Manwin feels that with an adult performer having recently tested positive for HIV, it re-opened to door to the importance of more dialogue about the issue of safe sex—on and off the set.

“Reckless sexual behavior by adult performers prior to filming should not reflect on an entire industry,” said Frank, director of production for Brazzers.com. “Adult performers who take pride in the work they do respect their bodies and practice safe sex in their private lives. This allows them to perform without condoms in front of the camera in good faith.”

In the new PSA, adult film stars Jessica Jaymes, AVN Hall of Famer Julia Ann and 2009 AVN Female Performer of the Year Jenna Haze shed light on adult industry filming practices and emphasize the importance of practicing safe sex at home.

While Brazzers doesn’t use condoms in its scenes, all its performers adhere to the industry’s standard testing procedures.

“Creating adult films is all about fantasy; civilians who choose to recreate it in their private lives should do so responsibly,” the company said in a statement. “Though Brazzers does not use condoms in the creation of its scenes, it is using its voice and reach to remind viewers that adult material is created in a regulated environment.”
