Axel Braun, Vivid Announce Plans for 'Star Wars XXX' Sequels

LOS ANGELES—Reigning AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun and Vivid Entertainment wasted no time on the heels of Tuesday's announcement that the Walt Disney Co. had purchased Lucasfilm to make their own announcement of plans to ramp up pre-production on sequels to Braun's record-breaking blockbuster Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody, which will include a spoof of Disney's slated Episode VII addition to the franchise in 2015.

“We expect adult movie fans will continue to have an interest in our adult Star Wars parody movies, so we’ve decided to add a third parody film to the two we already have in pre-production,” Braun said. “This will make a total of four parodies that take place in the Star Wars universe, with the next one to be released in September 2013.”

Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody, touted by its producers as the biggest-budget production in the history of the adult industry, has been praised by critics for its sensational costumes, sets, elaborate production values and erotic scenes, and it recently took home the Best Parody-Comedy Fan's Choice trophy at the 20th annual NightMoves Awards.

AVN's own AAAAA review of the title called it "an entry in the Star Wars canon ... that fans are almost certain to embrace," and crowed that the level of its effects work "undeniably and unequivocally sets a new bar."

In the mainstream review realm, meanwhile, pop culture site Die-Screaming.com said, “Axel Braun has really put together something special with this porn parody … injecting a healthy amount of tongue-in-cheek humor. The graphics look amazing … the casting is dead on and it confirms Axel Braun's reputation for creating highly entertaining porn parodies.”
