Axel Braun Storms the News-o-Sphere

LOS ANGELES—Mainstream news outlets can't get enough of three-peat AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun and his super-scale superhero porn parodies.

BuzzFeed.com, USA Today and the porn-enamored Fox News have all recently published pieces centering on the director, with BuzzFeed even sending well known journalist Tessa Stuart to the set of his newest VividXXXSuperheroes release, Man of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.

While all three stories outline Braun's dominance in the porn directing sector and the elaborateness of his super-productions, the USA Today report zeroes in on the role of his movies in possibly helping financially reinvigorate the adult industry in general, with Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch and AVN's own Mark Kernes weighing in on the subject.

Fox News, meanwhile, in its "Pop Tarts" column, offers such gems as that "Braun was inducted into the AVN (Adult Video Network) Hall of Fame in 2011, and had become the only director to win Adult Director three years in a row" as well as that "surprisingly, Braun says he has yet to encounter any legal troubles his super hero on super hero action."

[Ed. note: To correct a few of the items above, that should be "Adult Video News," "Director of the Year (Body of Work)" ... and we don't even know what to do with that third thing.]

"Mainstream media has shown a growing interest in my superhero parodies, which I guess is directly proportional to their popularity with the fans," Braun told AVN.
