Artie Mitchell Mistress Releases Memoir

SAN FRANCISCO - Simone Corday, a onetime dancer at the Mitchell Brothers' infamous O'Farrell Theater and girlfriend to Artie Mitchell for nearly a decade, has written a memoir about her experiences titled "9 ½ Years Behind the Green Door: A Mitchell Brothers Stripper Remembers Her Lover Artie Mitchell, Hunter S. Thompson, and the Killing That Rocked San Francisco."

In an e-mail to AVN, Corday wrote, "Since Jim Mitchell died in July, I have known it was time to finally publish my story."

Published Nov. 15 through Mill City Press, Inc., the book offers Corday's unique perspective as "the only woman insider to write about this insular but captivating world during this period."

Corday's website, www.greendoorbook.com, contains excerpts from "9 ½ Years," information on O'Farrell regular Hunter S. Thompson, and many other informative links and tidbits.

"9 ½ Years Behind the Green Door" can be ordered directly from Corday on the website, or through Amazon.com and other retailers.
