Adult Stars Pay Tribute to Clive McLean

LOS ANGELES - Director Erica McLean has begun production on a documentary tribute to her late husband, acclaimed photographer and Barely Legal series creator Clive McLean.

Several generations of adult stars gathered at McLean's home earlier this week to shoot the first round of interviews for the doc, which will be released as a special bonus disc with Hustler Video's Barely Legal 75 collectors edition DVD.

The 60-minute video will include rare footage of Clive McLean, an exclusive interview with Larry Flynt and commentary from many porn superstars who began their careers in Barely Legal.

Industry luminaries who have contributed to the project thus far include Theresa Flynt, photographers Matti Klatt and Suze Randall, Joey Silvera, Herschel Savage, Belladonna, Jenna Haze, Aurora Snow and Jay Ashley, Justine Joli, Audrey Hollander and Otto Bauer, Nick Manning, Joey Ray and Steven St. Croix.

"I'm really thrilled that so many people who worked with Clive have taken the time to talk about how much he meant to them," Erica McLean told AVN. "I'm so grateful to everybody. Belladonna started out with us in Barely Legal on the cover of #5, and when we shot her, her name was Sascha -- it was her second scene ever. She told me, 'You and Clive made me feel so welcome, and it didn't feel like anything bad - you made it comfortable and fun, and that's the way it should be.' That was repeated again and again, even by the guys. I think that if you treat people with respect and you're kind to them, you see them excel."

Erica will be shooting additional interviews for the project August 4. She encourages friends and colleagues interested in participating to contact Kristin Spillers or Drew Rosenfeld at Hustler Video, (323) 651-5400.
