CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Adult Source Media reports that the first pressing of its 3D adult animation DVD Pinks sold out on the first day of release.
According to a company press release, the publication of a feature article on the movie in Heavy Metal magazine has helped fuel demand for Pinks in both the adult and mainstream animation markets.
"In a year in which the adult industry is producing a record number of generic gonzo releases, a big budget, high quality 3D adult animation movie is something fresh and in great consumer demand," said ASM president Wendy Crawford. "We have a great team of talented 3D animators from Hollywood, developed a great story that appeals to everyone all over the globe, and finally, top it all of with five great sex scenes that are absolutely outrageous!"
Crawford continued, "Our out-the-door numbers have already surpassed our projections for the entire first quarter, and the response at the Venus Berlin show was like nothing we've ever seen."
Packaged in a foiled, embossed O-card, the Pinks DVD offers 60 minutes of "hot, out-of-this-universe 3D sex" in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound.
