Adult Producers Contribute to Henri Pachard Cancer Fund

LOS ANGELES - Director Ron Sullivan (a.k.a. Henri Pachard) received nearly $3,000 in charitable donations from X-Play, VCX, LA Direct and HotMovies this month to support him during his battle with throat cancer.

Producers Jeff Mullen and Scott David contributed $1,000 from the June sales of their Hustler Video hit Not the Bradys XXX. LA Direct Models owner Derek Hay donated an additional $500.

"When we first heard about Ron's struggle, there was only one decision to make and we decided to help out in any way we coul, as he is truly an adult industry pioneer," said Mullen. "Each time I would bump into him, he always had a nice smile on his face and kind words for me. In fact, he just sent me a nice email... but I know he is hurting."

"Ron is a gentleman of the first order; there are far too few of his ilk remaining in our business," added Hay. "We have learned much from him, and feel indebted as a result. We are pleased to help where we can."

Classic porn label VCX contributed $900 from disc and VOD sales of Pachard's four-part Taboo American Style miniseries. HotMovies.com donated an additional $500.

"Henri's Taboo American Style entertained many people since its release 23 years ago and I'm very pleased that we are able to help him now through his movies," said VCX president David Sutton. "He's one of the greats of this business and the work he's done for the companies in this industry should be recognized, especially now. The people I work with at HotMovies.com also stepped up to he plate with their contribution and I hope more companies will follow."

Bill Margold of Protecting Adult Welfare (PAW) and adult superstar Amber Lynn have led efforts to assist Pachard. Margold set up a fund for the director and helped Lynn organize the all-star benefit video We Are the World XXX

Contributions to the Henri Pachard Cancer Fund can also be made directly to PAW at 17400 Marilla St., Northridge, CA 91325 to the attention of The Henri Pachard Project. Donations are tax deductible.
