APAC Honored for Work with AIDS Walk LA

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) was honored for its fundraising work with AIDS Walk LA this week  at a cocktail party hosted by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump at Pump Lounge in West Hollywood.

Team leader Dana DeArmond called on APAC members to join the AIDS Walk LA team and in less than three weeks the group raised over $15,000. APAC is one of the three top fundraising teams for the event which will take place on October 12.

“I’m proud of our team and I encourage others to join in the interim period before the event; every little bit helps,” said DeArmond. “It is an honor to lead the APAC team. I look forward to leading more fundraising projects in the future.”

APAC President Chanel Preston commented, “I am really excited to see how far team APAC has come in the AIDS Walk fundraiser. This is the first time we have raised money as an organization, and it shows just how much performers can accomplish when they come together.” Preston and DeArmond also noted that it was also important for performers to give back to APLA, an organization that supported the adult film industry in opposing AB1576.

DeArmond has also organized a Porno Bingo fundraiser sponsored by APAC, to benefit AIDS Project LA, October 1 at 7pm at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood.

Donations are accepted through October 12 via the APAC team fundraising page.
