2007 AEE Breaks Attendance Records

The 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo/GAYVN Expo broke all previous trade attendance records, garnering a 5% increase over 2006 trade attendance, show organizers announced today. Over 30,000 people attended the event, held January 10-13, 2007 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Show organizers also announced that the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo/GAYVN Expo will be held January 9-12, 2008 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV.  The 2008 Expo will mark the show's tenth anniversary.

"The 2007 Expo was a success on every level," said show spokesperson Sean Devlin. "From the moment Jenna Jameson and the Club Jenna Girls cut the ribbon to open the Expo until the last fans departed with their photos and autographs, it was non-stop business and excitement. We had a record 355 exhibitors showing their newest products and services and making deals, a growing B2B marketplace and GAYVN Expo, and more than 250 of the leading adult entertainers greeting the public."

"The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo continues to grow, offering us valuable exposure to new markets and media as well as the opportunity to solidify and improve our existing business relationships," said Adella O'Neal, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Digital Playground.

"Once again our booth was packed and we did tremendous business," said Howard Levine, National Sales Manager of Vivid Entertainment Group. "And there were record lines for the Vivid Girls."

"The AEE show was once again very successful for [Wicked Pictures], both from a financial level as well as for the tremendous PR we received," added Steven Orenstein, president of Wicked Pictures.

Devlin noted that the VIBE Program, launched this year and drawing more than 100 members, was particularly successful. The VIBE (Very Important Business Executive) Program provided VIP services and a dedicated lounge for the industry's leading buyers. "We focused this year on attracting high-quality trade attendees to the Expo. VIBE really worked well, because it brought key retailers to the Expo and allowed them to do the business they need to do at the show," Devlin said.

The seminar program at AEE, continues to be a huge success. "Most of the seminars were filled to capacity with attendees wanting to learn how to improve their businesses, and the evaluations we received were extremely positive," Devlin noted.  One seminar that received a lot of attention was The Women's Room, which was comprised of an all-women panel discussing the women's market for adult product."
