Adult production company SexZ Pictures has obtained ownership of the web address SexZ.com in a deal that was reportedly worth in excess of $100,000. SexZ Pictures CEO Bo Kenney said it was worth every penny to acquire the URL.
"We've been located at Sexzpictures.com for our first few years in the business and always wanted to have a one-word domain to represent our brand, so it was hard to pass up this deal," Kenney said.
According to Kenney, the two sides had been in negotiations on and off for a number of months and when the seller called him recently to let him know that he was ready to sell, the two quickly reached an agreement.
"That's a lot of money to pay for a domain address, but the future dictates what we do today and we made the decision to green-light this purchase," Kenney said.
SexZ Pictures also recently agreed to a deal with Hot Movies.com to showcase a large portion of its library for VOD purchases.
"We think SexZ.com will be an easy place for fans to come back to again and again as we expand our operations," continued Kenney. "In fact, a large number of fans were informed of the new address this morning when our girl Hillary Scott appeared on the Howard Stern radio show which is broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio."
SexZ will release Scott's directorial debut Extreme Asshole Makeovers on Friday. The production company also has Eli Cross' Perfect Creatures, and performer/director Kurt Lockwood's spoof The Real Boogie Nights on its upcoming release schedule.
