Lexi Love Wins Domain Name Arbitration

HOLLYWOOD — Lexi Love has won the right to a domain under her name.

Love has been building a name for herself since first entering adult entertainment in 2004. Having starred in hundreds of XXX titles, she created a brand as Lexi Love, even trademarking the name.

In 2005, the domain LexiLove.com was registered by an unaffiliated entity promoting links “to websites that offered dating and relationship services.” That site had no approval or consent by Love to operate, that it was “in the business of registering domain names for monetary gain through click-through sites.”

An arbitration panel has now found that “with respect to the Respondent’s awareness of Complainant’s trademark, set out above, also support a conclusion of bad faith use and registration of the domain name in question. This conclusion is reinforced by the pattern of cybersquatting conduct on the part of the Respondent, evidenced by the significant number of decisions where the Respondent has attempted to appropriate famous trademarks.”

In the wake of the panel's decision, LexiLove.com is now owned by Lexi Love.

"It’s empowering. It’s a great feeling to know that I now own my domain name,” said Love. “I took all the proper steps to make sure that legally I was covered and it paid off. I am very happy about the outcome.”

This weekend in Los Angles, Love will celebrate her win with an appearance at Erotica L.A. She's scheduled to sign at The Star Factory booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Fans can meet Love in person for autographs and photo ops. She'll also have some of her hottest DVDs available.

Lexi will take part of a panel on Friday night called "Porn Stars

Reveal: Sex Tips, Tricks and Bloopers." The seminar will feature Love alongside several other prominent adult stars.
