Internext Farewell Party to Feature Everclear

LAS VEGAS - Alternative-rock band Everclear, known for hits like "I Will Buy You a New Life," "Father of Mine" and "Wonderful," will headline the farewell party at Internext Las Vegas.

The party is scheduled for 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the Rain Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort, site of the annual event sponsored by AVN Online.

"Securing Everclear for the farewell party is a great addition to the show," said Chris Lebrun, senior account executive for AVN Media Network. "I think of it as the icing on a very nice cake. This year's Internext is all about delivering value to the webmasters, programs, sponsors and exhibitors, and will be the unparalleled networking event of the year."

The farewell gathering is the last chance for attendees to catch up and party.

"We wanted to close the show this year with a bang," said Renee Johnson, senior show manager for AVN Media Network. "We're so excited and would especially like to thank our party sponsors for their support in putting on this awesome event for attendees."

Sponsors include PussyCash, GT Bill, Robomail and TMM Segpay.

"There are still a few sponsorship opportunities available for the farewell party and for Internext," Lebrun said. "Time is running out, though."

Everclear currently is promoting its latest album, "Welcome to the Drama Club," which hit shelves 13 years after the band's debut album. The new album, Everclear's first studio effort since 2003's "Slow Motion Daydream" and seventh overall, comes in the wake of the band's critically acclaimed 2004 greatest-hits package.

The band's revamped lineup features bassist Sam Hudson, guitarist Dave French, drummer Brett Snyder and keyboardist Josh Crawley.
