LAS VEGAS—Sex and relationship expert Reid Mihalko will return for a second year of hosting duties for the "O" Awards.
"The Palms' Moon Nightclub in Vegas, plus the AVN Novelty Expo, plus the International Lingerie Show, and me hosting AVN's 'O' Awards for the second time?" Mihalko said. "Did I die and go to Sex Geek heaven? I mean, sex toys, lube, and lingerie on stage in The Palms! I'm honored to host the awards and I'm gonna step up my game to make that "O" stand for "Ohhhhhhhhh!"
The "O" Awards, which are sponsored this year by California Exotic Novelties and Jopen, are slated for Sept. 11 and will see 16 trophies bestowed in a number of categories designed to recognize the best of the best in the pleasure products industry, including design, innovation and marketing.
This year's ceremony will take place at Moon Nightclub, located at the Palms Casino Resort, not far from the Rio Hotel and Casino, which is hosting the AVN Novelty Expo, Sept. 10-12.
"We are beyond thrilled that Reid Mihalko is returning to host the event this year," said Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor of pleasure products for AVN. "He was a big hit last year, and we can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for this year!"
A sex and relationship expert, Mihalko teaches adults better communication and bedroom skills so theycan engender more self-esteem, self-confidence, health and satisfaction in their relationships.
One of the few malevoices in this industry, Mihalko is known for his charisma, integrity and emphasis on using humor to make people comfortable talking about the often charged topics of sex, intimacy and relationships.To date,more than 40,000 people have attended his workshops and lectures.
The ceremony starts at 8 p.m., and attendees have the run of the club until 11 p.m., when the doors open to the general public. An open bar will be available during the awards ceremony.
