More Ashley Madison Legal Woes For Josh Duggar

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—The hits just keep coming for Josh Duggar, philandering husband and father of five and one of the stars of the former TV show 19 Kids and Counting. Now, he’s being sued by the man whose picture he used on various dating sites, including AshleyMadison.com.

Duggar was one of the first celebrity names associated with the AshleyMadison.com data dump after the site—which encourages people to join the site to participate in affairs—was breached in the fall of 2015. Not long after that news broke, adult performer Danica Dillon let it be known that she had met Duggar through the site and an affair with him. Dillon filed a lawsuit against Duggar claiming he had roughed her up during sex, enough to cause physical and emotional injuries. She dropped the suit in February 2016. More bad news about Duggar included claims he molested younger girls, including some of his sisters, when he was a teenager.

The latest woes for the eldest child of the fundamentalist Christian family, however, include West Hollywood DJ Matthew J. McCarthy filing a lawsuit against him.

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ and various news outlets, McCarthy is asking for damages from Duggar for the wrongful use of his image.

According to TMX, Duggar used McCarthy’ picture for profiles on Ashley Madison, Twitter and OK Cupid. Since McCarthy’s name has been tied to Duggar’s, he has received harassing messages referring to him as “Duggar’s boy toy” and “DJ Duggar.” McCarthy claims the experience has been especially traumatize since he was raised in a close-knit Catholic family.

It was not immediately clear which court McCarthy filed the lawsuit in, nor how much money he is seeking from Duggar, who these days reportedly works at a car dealership.
