Tennessee Trooper Scandal Grows As Investigation Continues

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Investigators have now identified more than 25 "questionable" traffic stops as part of a probe into the activities of a former state trooper who lost his job over an on-duty tryst with porn star Barbie Cummings.

According to a recent report, the FBI and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have now been called in to assist Tennessee Highway Patrol investigators in the case of former Trooper, James Randy Moss.

Moss made national headlines after Blacks on Blondes contract girl Cummings wrote on her website that she avoided a drug charge by giving the officer a blowjob during a traffic stop. Classy girl Barbie has also written on her blog about getting the word 'pig' tattooed on her lip and having sex with a dog.

Investigators want to contact the women involved in the other stops, Wilson County District Attorney General Tommy Thompson told the Tennessean.com.

"They reviewed the videos, and anything that was suspect or where an opportunity [may have occurred], they are going back and checking each of those," Thompson said. "They are just trying to do a good job."

The Tennessee Highway Patrol fired Moss last month, giving him the option of a hearing before he was officially dismissed. Moss was later allowed to resign, because earlier in the day, he had sent a letter of resignation, though officials said that they didn't know about the letter until after they had notified him he was fired.

A series of complaints from other women arose against Moss after the Cummings story broke.

Thompson told the Tennessean.com that no charges have been filed against Moss, although he expects a grand jury to hear testimony possibly as early as July.
