Will Clark Issues Holiday Challenge

NEW YORK — In the spirit of the season, promoter Will Clark challenged Bad Boys Pool Party fans to donate the money that they would have spent on admission to the Palm Springs Bad Boys Pool Party — as well as the projected cost of hotel room and travel — to the charities of their choice this holiday season in the name of the Bad Boys Pool Party.

Explaining his challenge, Clark said, "Since we've decided not to do a Bad Boys Pool Party in Palm Springs in spring 2006, and as donations are down for AIDS organizations, we at Bad Boys Events want to encourage fans to take the money that they would have spent on a trip to Palm Springs for our event and put it back into their own community's nonprofit sector."

Clark added that not only was it a challenge to fans for the cost of the event, "but also to those who would have donated their time, media that would have donated ad space, and so forth."

In addition to the cancellation of the Palm Springs fundraiser, Clark said that there are also no plans to produce a 2006 edition of Will Clark's Bad Boys by the Bay: A Burlesque Show in San Francisco in July.

Bad Boys events-fans will, however, still be able to attend Will Clark's Third Annual Bad Boys on the Hudson event, which will again benefit the Gay/Lesbian Anti-Violence Project (AVP.org) and will take place on Sunday, July 2.
