Philly Fest to Fete Chi Chi LaRue

LOS ANGELES - Chi Chi LaRue will make a special appearance at the 14th annual Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival as acclaimed Philly Fest pays homage to her career.

"Dragging Out Chi Chi LaRue: A Showcase of Smut" will showcase LaRue's career, featuring hand-selected clips from her best-known films as well as some never-before-seen footage from deep inside LaRue's personal vault. LaRue will offer her signature commentary throughout the evening, giving audience members a rare opportunity to see the person behind the very public persona.

Channel 1 Releasing exclusives Johnny Hazzard and Blake Riley also are scheduled to make appearances during the event.

Immediately following the showcase, LaRue and company will head over to Pure Nightclub for "Chi Chi LaRue's Pure Smut," an extraordinary night of filth celebrating the infamous director. In his usual fashion, LaRue plans to commandeer the DJ booth and pump out sleazy trash classics and underground dance tracks.

"Dragging Out Chi Chi LaRue: A Showcase of Smut" will begin at 7:15 p.m. on June 11 at the Prince Music Theatre. "Chi Chi LaRue's Pure Smut" is scheduled from 10 p.m. to midnight.
