Jason Sechrest Launches Talent Agency

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Adult industry blogger, reporter, event host, publicist and director Jason Sechrest has launched DV8 Casting, a new talent management agency devoted to adult performers.

He said the agency represents his first foray into managing the stars he's interviewed or worked with for a decade. His background, Sechrest noted, makes him able to serve his clients not only as an agent, but also as a promoter. For that reason, he intends to limit his client list.

"I'm starting with a small stable of eight incredible performers, and I don't think I would ever want to take on more than 20 at a time," Sechrest said. "I think it's important that I be able to focus individual attention on the performers and not just get them work, but build them into true superstars of the genre.

"I've worked as a publicist for a lot of years, so I think it's exciting that with DV8 Casting, performers can be afforded a big marketing machine without having to be a studio exclusive," he added. "It's also an added bonus for the studios. Obviously, if they hire one of these performers, they'll have me doing a lot of press for their movie."

At launch, DV8 Casting's roster included Phillip Aubrey, Ryan Foxxx, Josh Griffin, Beau Marcus, Jason Pitt, Shane Risk, Mason Ross and Josh Vaughn. Sechrest will represent them exclusively for all video, print, online and in-person bookings.

"My main motivation is to create superstars, so I'm looking for performers who have a lot of potential they haven't yet reached or performers who are reaching their potential but aren't being promoted enough," Sechrest explained. "I'm being really selective, because I don't want the roster to get too big. I want it to be a really prestigious and special thing to be a part of the DV8 family."

Sechrest is already seeing results from the new venture, he said. DV8 not only booked Griffin in Jet Set Men honcho and 2009 GAYVN Hall of Fame inductee Chris Steele's football-themed title Tackle, but also found Aubrey a leading role in Take, the biggest title so far this year from award-winning director and GAYVN Hall of Fame member Chi Chi LaRue.

Sechrest said he sees his agency's new website, DV8Casting.com, as "a place for studios to get the 411 on the boys as well as a place where fans can stay up to date with the latest news, movie releases, live appearances and more from their favorite stars."
