Collin O’Neal to Leave Gay Adult Industry

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Gay adult performer-turned-producer Collin O’Neal has decided to quit the adult entertainment industry and devote himself to mainstream Hollywood projects. He has placed his award-winning website and DVD line up for sale.

“I have had a push-and-pull factor that has motivated me to sell my business,” O’Neal said. “The push factor is that my company has grown beyond what my business partner and I can handle. I am also very tired of how the industry is being destroyed by free porn sites and the proliferation of porn sites being thrown up.

“The pull factor is that I have made some strong celebrity contacts that have encouraged me to use my skills to start producing for mainstream Hollywood,” he added. So “I made a big content push for my porn company and then took off to work on some projects in Africa backed by some of my celebrity friends.”

The feedback on his mainstream efforts received “extremely positive feedback,” he said.

His adult industry efforts also have been praised. CollinONeal.com won the 2009 Cybersocket Web Award for Best Porn Star Site. World of Men, O’Neal’s DVD line, comprises 10 international titles including Serbia, which includes the first scene in which Roman Ragazzi performed. The line exposes the talents of WoM exclusives like the Syrian performer Jacko and Dominican Francisco Rey.

O’Neal and business partner Rich Richards founded the studio in 2003. WoM’s first release, Lebanon, took the Best Videography trophy the following year during the Grabby Awards.

“Although I am very happy with my success, I just think it is time for a natural progression for both Rich and I,” O’Neal said. “We both appreciate all the support from industry leaders over the past few years and will never forget where we started in the world of production.”
