WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—After a month’s hiatus, Chi Chi LaRue is back in action and ready to light the international gay club circuit on fire.
LaRue will kick off her spring tour Saturday with a DJ gig in the Electropop Lounge during the White Party in Palm Springs. The appearance marks LaRue’s 15th White Party and her fifth time to DJ during the event.
“Bravo [the television network] will be in attendance shooting the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I’ll be introducing Kim ‘Tardy for the Party’ Zolciak, so I’m really excited about that because that’s one of my favorite songs to play a lot at the clubs,” the diva said. “But more than that, I’m excited to debut my new face after having had little nip-tuck. You may have seen the painkiller-induced video blog of me bandaged right after the surgery at ChiChiLaRue.com? Well, get your asses out to Palm Springs this weekend and come see the new me!”
On April 17, LaRue will begin a trio of Los Angeles-based events with her monthly gig at Here Lounge’s “Red.” A very special release party for the DVD of her latest movie, Steven Daigle: Stalked is set for April 23 at MJ’s Bar. Finally, on April 28, the LaRue-produced debut of Gus Mattox’s one-man show Canned Ham will celebrate its opening at Casita del Campo with a porn-star-packed party during Here Lounge’s “Garage.”
Mattox starred in several LaRue-directed Channel 1 releases during his career in gay porn. Mattox and LaRue will give away copies of two, What Men Do and BOLT, as part of the celebration.
May kicks off with a trip to London, where LaRue will DJ the world-infamous Hustlaball for the second time on May 2 before heading to Chicago for Grabby Awards weekend. While in Chi-town, LaRue will host a “Thank You, Chicago!” party May 22 at Spin.
On May 27, LaRue and FabScout Entertainment will kick off Grabby madness with “Skin Trade” at Hydrate. Performers scheduled to appear include Mitchell Rock, Steven Daigle, Adam Killian, Brandon Lewis and Tommy Defendi.
LaRue will host the Grabby Awards ceremony on May 29 alongside Honey West, Jeremy Bilding, Roman Heart and Diesel Washington. Tickets and a complete schedule of the weekend’s events are available at Grabbys.com.
