Bullet Bar to Host Van Damme Launch Party

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. To celebrate the launch of Robert Van Damme’s new studio, RVD Productions, the Bullet Bar will host a party and DVD giveaway from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, May 31.

According to Van Damme mentor and collaborator and GAYVN Hall of Fame director Gino Colbert, “The Bullet is one of the leather community’s best-kept secrets and has a rich and colorful history. Since the late ’50s, this location has been a gay bar, but under various names — the Signal, the Red Hanky, the Officer’s Club — prior to becoming the Bullet in 1983. It has regular involvement in numerous charity events, like the AIDS marathon, Prop8 fundraisers, activities in support of the Marriage Equality Act, a Christmas toy drive and the L.A. Leather Coalition, to name just a few.”

On May 31, the evening’s activities will include surprise guest visits from the stars of RVD’s first releases, a barbeque and go-go boys.

A native of the Czech Republic, Van Damme began his porn career in 2002 when Blue Blake discovered him at a bar in Hollywood. Since then Van Damme has starred in more than 25 movies, working both as a Blue Blake and Hot House exclusive. In 2008 he founded his own studio, under the banner of which he produces and directs, with Colbert, story-driven features.

A hockey player by profession, Van Damme has said he harbors big plans for RVD Productions, which to date has released a total of six DVDs: Private Party 1 thru 3, Anal Intruder, Butt Bouncers, and Cocks in Paradise.

“If you’ve never been to the Bullet, this is a great opportunity to check it out and mingle with some of the hottest men north of Hollywood,” Colbert said. “And see Van Damme, built like a Tom of Finland model, take the stage and strip out of his leather gear. Be there or be square.”

The Bullet Bar, where leather and fetish meet a “Cheers”-type atmosphere, is located at 10522 Burbank Blvd. in North Hollywood, Calif. For more information, visit the website at BulletBarNoHo.com or call manager Dan Hernandez at (818) 762-8890.
