‘Another Gay Sequel' Makes Theatrical Debut

PHILADELPHIA - TLA Releasing 's latest mainstream theatrical release, Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!, generated $26,155 across three screens during its first weekend, the company said Tuesday.

The film's per-screen average was $8,545 in New York, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Written and directed by Todd Stephens (Another Gay Movie, Edge of Seventeen, Gypsy 83), Another Gay Sequel reintroduces audiences to the quartet of young gay men who appeared in Another Gay Movie. The movie, which depicts the boys "going wild" during Spring Break, was shot on location in Fort Lauderdale.

The film stars Jonah Blechman, Jake Moser, Aaron Michael Davies and Jimmy Clabots as the frisky foursome and features appearances by RuPaul, Lady Bunny, Scott Thompson, Brent Corrigan and Perez Hilton.

Another Gay Sequel's release schedule will be expanded during September and October to include at least 20 markets, TLA national press liaison Lewis Tice said. The film is scheduled to hit screens in San Francisco and Chicago on Sept. 5 and in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Palm Springs and San Diego, Calif., on Sept. 12.
