AEBN’s RealTouch Finds a Gay Audience

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Gay men who use the RealTouch personal intimacy device favored adult stars Brent Corrigan, J.B. and Adam Burr during March, judging by user downloads at video-on-demand website AEBN. AEBN developed and markets the novelty item, which connects to a computer and simulates the sexual acts occurring on-screen via cues embedded in the video.

RealTouch users also showed strong preferences in March for videos featuring Tom Moore, Julian Vincenzo, Josh Kole, Ben Andrews, Christian Cruz and Erik Rhodes.

“RealTouch is a great barometer of fan sentiment because it relates precisely to the stars our users want to have sex with,” said Suzann Knudsen, director of communications, publicity and social media for AEBN and RealTouch.

The top five gay studios in March were Treasure Island MediaFalcon StudiosRaging Stallion Studios, SX Video and Active Duty.

The leading gay categories contain movies featuring muscular men, well-endowed men, interracial scenes, twinks and bareback sex. The sex acts men watched most often included oral sex, ejaculation and anal sex, followed by intercourse in the “doggie-style” and missionary positions.

According to Knudsen, RealTouch has reached the status of “novelty phenomenon” because it simulates the authentic warmth, moistness and relative motion of the exact sexual encounters in the specially encoded videos offered within AEBN’s virtual theaters. Proprietary haptic technology developed by a former NASA-affiliated engineer drives the device.
