With a sensuality that consistently hovers between intimate and arousing, and a strong eye for production details, Kama Sutra stands as one of the best "couples features" of the year.  This adult fairy tale propels two contemporary lovers looking to put a little more curry into their sex life smack into the lap of an exotic Middle Eastern landscape of both the past and the imagination.

It all begins "once upon a time," with a benign visit to the local library, where Vince Vouyer and Dyanna Lauren bump into librarian Veronica Hart. She offers them a sexual self-help book which turns out to be a real page turner -- a magical tome which whisks them back to the time when women wore little more than a veil and a smile, and men wore cashmere openly.

Vouyer is a comical skeptic, but Lauren takes the magical mystery tour in stride, and pretty soon they're being treated to an outdoor exhibition of a tempting threesome as Tatiana services T.T. Boy and John West.  While the boys look about as comfortable in turbans and jodhpurs as they would be in parkas and mittens, Tat looks absolutely ravishing in wispy silks as she stiffens their ten-poles with a hot double b.j. Though her famous cock-craving bootie goes unbreached here (and in a subsequent orgy), this may be one of the last times you can catch this captivating maiden in action.  Don't miss out on the opportunity.

To say that the plot thickens at this point would be something of a misstatement.  Director Armstrong's strength has always been on the visual side, and the path which Vouyer and Lauren tread sure ain't the high roadappropriate of character development.  Regardless, they learn their lessons by watching and engaging in a half-dozen more scenes of sultry sex.  (It might be approrpriate to mention that said couplings are captured with a combination of finesse and restraint by cameraman Ralph Parfait, whose compositions reveal enough hardcore action to sustain interest for male viewers, but avoid those "gyno" closeups which might put off some female viewers.)

There are a number of fanciful entanglements in Kama Sutra, most notably a foursome by a moonlit encampment with Stephanie Swift, Steve Drake, Mickey G. and Alex Dane.  It is here that the anal frivolity begins, as Dane is rear-ended in a superb cornholing session, with a big splooge on her gaping, quivering anus as the capper.  Swift holds her own with fine oral skills, and soaks up a load on her face.

The aforementioned orgy sequence (featuring Jon Dough as the swami of salami, our time-traveling friends, and a whole coterie of women made unrecognizable by similar make-up jobs) is also a highlight especially for the notable editing, which keeps viewer interest from flagging with any one particular couple.

Lauren is still looking spectacular, whether it's with Felecia's tongue swabbing out her asshole or in a gripping stand-up fuck with Vouyer. She's got a bit of angel and devil inside her. She's the kind of gal you can take home to mom and still not feel guilty about cumming in her face.

Kama Sutra deserves nominations across the board for the orgy scene, the moonlight scene, costuming, and production design (which includes live elephants, camels and cobras in addition to the sets and locations).  Stock this one in depth for your upscale clientele
