Armstrong, Drake Now Shooting Dark Fantasy Titled 'Underworld'

LOS ANGELES—From the future shock of Euphoria and 2040 to the sensual worlds depicted in Dreamquest and The Craving, Brad Armstrong's releases for Wicked Pictures are distinguished by spectacular art direction and flourishes of dark fantasy. Now, the AVN Award-winning director is bringing his gift for creating visually stunning hardcore entertainment to Underworld, an original production starring three-time AVN Best Actress winner and Wicked Girl Jessica Drake.

Underworld casts Drake as Tanya, a young woman whose hospital stay is interrupted when she awakens to find herself in a surreal wonderland where destiny and desire collide. She soon learns that this "underworld" is a purgatory of sorts, a land between life and death where "souls come to learn their fate."

This revelation sets the stage for sexual encounters with such characters as the half-machine "Mecca," the haunting, red-robed super-vixen Scarlet, an ethereal and acrobatic "gauze girl," the sexy and sewn-together Stitch, various and sundry warriors, barbarian queens and more fantastic figures.

With Drake in the lead role, Armstrong will bring the colorful cast of characters to life with the help of such celebrated performers as 2013 AVN Female Performer of the Year Asa Akira, Asphyxia Noir, Toni Ribas, Mick Blue, Derrick Pierce and others.

The always ambitious director looks forward to shooting his latest pop culture extravaganza. “Underworld is one of the most challenging films I've ever undertaken. It's gonna be incredible! The always amazing Jessica Drake and a dynamic collection of today's most talented performers will come together to create an erotic world like no other. A great script, fantastic costumes and locations, and smoldering non-stop sex will make Underworld a stunning visual adventure.”

For her part, Drake can't wait to begin her latest collaboration with the celebrated filmmaker. "Brad Armstrong is my favorite director to work for," she said. "Nothing compares to his storytelling ability, his artistic vision, or his attention to detail. I love that he pushes me and constantly challenges me not only to do more, but to also do it better. I know that I can count on him to bring out the very best in everyone on this project.

“In Underworld, my character Tanya is suddenly in a life threatening situation, and finds herself thrust into a different world that she tries to navigate as her sexuality wrestles with her subconscious,” Drake continued. “I have five scenes in this movie, and I'll be working with the very best in the business, pushing the envelope once again in terms of my own sexual boundaries, which means the hottest sex for the viewers.”

Drake will begin shooting on the Underworld set in a few days, and she's more than ready for the challenge. “One of my favorite things about being a Wicked girl is being able to act out my ever-changing fantasies on screen for my fan. ... Everything about Underworld is visually captivating: the cast, the amazing wardrobe, the art direction, and the phenomenal locations. A movie of this magnitude demands excellence from everyone involved, and I can't imagine a more talented director, a better crew, or a better cast to bring this ambitious vision to life. I am grateful to be a part of it!”
